Shear stability

The high engine speeds common in scooter applications increase shear, causing conventional oils to lose viscosity and reduce their ability to control wear, resulting in shorter engine life. Thermal stability

Gearbox and gearbox compatibility

Compatibility with fluid clutch

Use wherever SAE 10W-40 Drive Oil is specified on air-cooled and water-cooled scooter engines, gearboxes and differentials recommended for any of the following specifications, including Honda*, Kawasaki*, Suzuki, Yamaha*, Vespa*, Aprilia*, Piaggio*, Benelli*, Vento*, Kymco*, Tank* and TGB*.

Compatibility

AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Scooter Oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional engine oils. Mixing AMSOIL engine oil with other lubricants, however, will reduce the oil’s life expectancy and performance benefits. AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic Scooter Oil does not support extended drain intervals where the oils are mixed.

Competition oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL engine oils.
